Katy Perry (born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson October 25, 1984) is an American dance-pop singer. Perry has released three studio albums and an EP. In November 2007, Perry released an EP album called Ur So Gay. A song called "Lost" from the EP album was put on the 2008 album One of the Boys. She and her song have been criticized and labelled homophobic. On June 17, 2008, Perry released her first pop album called One of the Boys with singles including: "I Kissed a Girl", "Hot N Cold", and "One of the Boys". She has a contralto vocal range. Her third album titled "Teenage Dream" was released in August 2010 and included the single, "California Gurls".
Perry is married to comedian and actor Russell Brand and previously dated Gym Class Heroes lead singer Travie McCoy.
