Kellie Shirley born in Croydon, South London[citation needed]) is a British actress. She is mostly known the role of Carly Wicks in the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders up until 2008. She left Eastenders with co-star Matt Di Angelo in early 2008 following the death of character Kevin Wicks (Phil Daniels) who was her on screen Dad.
Kellie's other credits include playing the female lead opposite John Hannah in 'Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde'. The 'Office' Christmas specails and 'Twenty Thousand Steets under the sky'. She has worked in theatre at the Royal National Theatre & Royal Court to name a few. Kellie was trained at The BRIT School for Performing Arts in Selhurst, after which she won a scholarship to the Webber Douglas Academy.[citation needed]
She has also appeared on the Sky Sports program Soccer AM and describes herself as a "massive Crystal Palace fan."[citation needed] Her last appearance in EastEnders was in 2008.
In June 2009, she co-hosted with Tim Lovejoy BBC Two show Something for the Weekend, standing in for Amanda Hamilton, who was on maternity leave[1]. She was recently Featured in the Pencil Full of Lead video by Scottish singer Paolo Nutini
