Kensax is an upcoming party video game for the Nintendo Wii. The name comes from the Japanese word Kensaku, which means "searching". [1]

Kensax is a collection of minigames which are played using the number of results that appear when search terms are entered into a search engine. This number is referred to as a "hit count". It will contain 11 minigames, ranging from puzzle games to shooting games.[1]
The game gets its hit counts in two ways. By default, the disc includes the hit counts for 3,000 terms. However, players can also connect to the Internet to search up more words and expand play possibilities.[1]
Examples of the minigames included:
This four player minigame takes place on a 3x3 board of panels. Using words from a word stock in combination with the words that come pre-written on the panels, searches must be conducted. The goal is to get the highest hit count from the searches, thus stealing a panel from the previous holder. The winner is determined by a combination of panel count and hit count.[1]
This single player minigame has the player connecting words together to conduct searches. Reaching a certain hit count with a fixed set of panels, so he can move on to the next stage.[1]
In this four player game, players are presented with a keyword at the top of the screen and a bunch of floating panels below. The goal is to select the one term from the floating panels that will get the highest hit count when paired with the keyword. [1]
The game was first shown at Nintendo's autumn conference in October, 2008.[2]
