The Kent Predators are a professional indoor football (a variation of American football) team that is planning to begin play in the Indoor Football League for the 2010 season. They are scheduled to play their home games at the ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington. The Predators join the Tri-Cities Fever as the second IFL team from the state of Washington.
The Predators franchise was originally going to play in Wasilla, Alaska as the Arctic Predators, but complications between the ownership and the would-be head coach led to difficulty in obtaining a lease, so the IFL and the Arctic Predators split ways. Nonetheless, the A-Preds are not defunct; they plan to continue operations and hope to join the American Indoor Football Association.
