Kerava (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈkerɑʋɑ]; Swedish: Kervo) is a town and municipality in Finland.

It is located in the province of Southern Finland and is part of the Uusimaa region. The town has a population of 33,834 (31 December 2009)[2] and covers an area of 30.79 square kilometres (11.89 sq mi) of which 0.17 km2 (0.066 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 1,104.96 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,861.8 /sq mi). The municipality is unilingually Finnish.

Kerava is a town in Central Uusimaa, in Southern Finland. It's located about 30km to the north from Helsinki and is part of the greater metropolitan area.

Get in

By train

Most commuter trains travelling between Helsinki and Riihimäki stop at Kerava. The railway station locates right next to town center. The Finnish Rail commuter traffic section [1] has route maps and timetables online.

By plane

All international and domestic flights to Helsinki land at the Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport [2] (IATA: HEL), 15 kilometers to the south-west of the town. From airport to Kerava, taxi is the easiest choice.
