Korey Cooper (born July 21, 1972) is the keyboardist, guitarist, and backing vocalist for the Christian rock band Skillet. Her husband, John Cooper, is the lead singer and bassist of the band, as well as one of the founding members.

Before joining Skillet, Korey was a member of the band Alkeme along with Lori Peters, other people from her church, and her sister.

Korey joined Skillet in 1999, between the albums Hey You, I Love Your Soul and Invincible. Their recent album Comatose was certified as Gold on November 18, 2009[1].

Personal life

Korey and John have two children, Alexandria Christine (Alex) and Xavier Timothy (Xav). They had other musicians fill in for her on tour when they were born. Korey has also co-written many of Skillet's songs with her husband.

In interviews and blogs, she said that Skillet guitarist Ben Kasica is her "coffee friend", because they both have a love of coffee, and John Cooper and former drummer Lori Peters don't really drink coffee.[2]
