Kristine Hermosa Orille, popularly known as Kristine Hermosa (born September 9, 1983 in Quezon City, Philippines) is a Filipina actress. She is a member of ABS-CBN's elite circle of homegrown talents known as Star Magic and is well known for her roles in hit soap operas on television like Pangako Sa 'Yo, Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas, Gulong ng Palad, Prinsesa ng Banyera and a Komiks series Nasaan Ka Maruja. She is considered as one of the ABS-CBN Teleserye Princesses.

Biography

Kristine Hermosa is a Filipino actress who was born to a Filipino father and a Spanish mestiza mother. She is the second of four children in the family. On her grade school level, Hermosa went to Batino SPED Elementary School and St.Anthony's School. When her family moved to Laguna, she then enrolled at Colegio de San Pedro, San Pedro, Laguna near Pacita Complex to continue her remaining grade school and first year in high school. She continued her studies at ABS-CBN Learning Center after they moved back to Manila.

Her older sister, Kathleen, was originally the one who wants to go for an audition in ABS-CBN but unfortunately, failed to impress the judges in the first screening, then reluctant Kristine was suggested to audition due to her height and beautiful personality. She was launched as part of the Star Circle batch 4. Kristine started out as a love team partner of Baron Geisler in the movie, Nagbibinata. Later on, she was casted in a weekly drama series, Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ako, wherein she was partnered with Marvin Agustin, the series was top-billed by Piolo Pascual. She rose to fame in the locally and internationally successful top-rated primetime soap opera, Pangako Sa'yo which she co-stars with actor Jericho Rosales, who later on became her boyfriend. Considered as one of the most promising actress of her generation, she continued to make successful soap operas and movies.

After 5 years, Kristine is reunited with former love team partner Jericho Rosales in a primetime soap opera, Dahil May Isang Ikaw. Aside from her showbiz commitments, she also continues to pursue her studies at the University of the Philippines Open University program taking up Associate in Arts.

Personal life

She dated actor Jericho Rosales and married Diether Ocampo but they are now separated.
