Kumoricon is an annual three-day anime convention held in Portland, Oregon. Kumori is a translation from Japanese, meaning 'cloudy', a joking reference to the amount of precipitation Oregon receives on a common basis. Cosplaying attendees have ranged from Jack Skellington to Pac-Man, filling the area with "ninjas, giant bugs, girls with cat ears, and guys in the uniforms of imaginary militias."[1][2] The 2010 convention will be held from September 4-6, 2010 at the Hilton Portland in Portland, Oregon.[3]
