Kung Fu Panda 2: The Kaboom of Doom is an upcoming animated film and the sequel to Kung Fu Panda.^[1] It is set to be in 3-D and will be directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson, with most of the original cast returning in the previous film, along with newer characters.^[1] The film is set to be released on June 3, 2011. It was originally going to be named Kung Fu Panda 2: Pandamonium. Jack Black, the voice of Po the Panda, announced a Kung Fu Panda sequel during the 2009 Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards.

Plot

The plot will involve a new villain with a weapon so powerful it threatens the very existence of kung fu. It is up to Po, Shifu, and the Furious Five to defend it; and along the way, Po must confront his past.
