As of the census of 2000, there were 288 people, 101 households, and 82 families residing in the township. The population density was 8.9 people per square mile (3.4/km²). There were 104 housing units at an average density of 3.2/sq mi (1.2/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 96.88% White, 0.69% African American, 0.35% Native American, 1.39% from other races, and 0.69% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.39% of the population.
There were 101 households out of which 38.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 74.3% were married couples living together, 3.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.8% were non-families. 12.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.85 and the average family size was 3.17.
