La Ferté-Vidame is a commune in the Eure-et-Loir department in north-central France.
The title of vidame of Chartres was, under the Ancien Régime, attached to the lands of Ferté-Arnault (also called la\ Ferté-Vidame). The most famous men to bear that title were Louis de Rouvroy, duc de Saint-Simon and the English captain Thomas de Scales. Its chateau is now in ruins.
