Lacerta goliath is a giant lizard species (now extinct), who lived on the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain). We know that this reptile lived since before the arrival of humans. He was described by the german Robert Mertens. It is believed that half to three feet long and could also live on the island of La Gomera. Found this animal fossils in volcanic caves of Tenerife, where they often appear on sites with other extinct giant lizards and even mammals also extinct.
