Maja Jezercë (Albanian: Maja Jezercë, meaning 'lake ridge'; Serbian: Језерски врх, Jezerski vrh) is the highest point of the Prokletije and the entire Dinaric Alps, standing at 2,694 m (8,839 ft) AMSL. The peak is administratively part of the northern Albanian region of Malësi e Madhe District, close to the border with Montenegro. To the north of the mountain are six beautiful lakes. The biggest of which is Big lake of Buni Jezerce. From the summit there is a wonderful view of the whole Prokletije in Kosovo and Montenegro. Maja Jezercë is surrounded by many high peaks such as Maja Malisores which stands at 2,490 m (8,169 ft). This mountain is the highest mountain in the 2,600 m (8,530 ft) and the 5th highest in Albania.
Maja Jezercë is known to be the focal point in many old tales of the Malesori people (being more specific of the Kelmendi clan).
In the year 1929 British climbers Sleeman, Elmalie and Ellwood reached the summit of Maja Jezercë on the 26th of July. These three climbers were the first to do so. Before this expedition took place the highest peak of the range was believed to be Shkëlzen at 2,407m and then Maja Radohimës at 2,570m high.
