Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracles (レイトン教授と奇跡の仮面 Layton-kyōju to Kiseki no Kamen?) is the fifth game in the Professor Layton series but the third game chronologically. The game is a prequel to the series, set after Professor Layton and the Specter's Flute, and continues the story of the search for Jean de Scole.

Professor Layton and Luke follow Jean de Scole to the mysterious Casino City in search of the mask he wears. Casino City was created by the powers of the Mask of Miracles. Layton and Luke must uncover the truth about the Mask of Miracles. The truth is hidden deep within the Mask.

  • Luke Triton- Layton's apprentice and son of Layton's good friend Clark Triton
  • Remi Altava- Layton's assistant
  • Rosa Grims- Layton's housekeeper
  • Clamp Growski- Chelmey's replacement as Layton's fellow detective of the series.
  • Keyte- Granny Riddleton's cat, who takes over her job of keeping puzzles
  • Jean de Scole- Layton's new nemesis and the cause of this adventure


A soundtrack has not been announced, but it is likely that the game will get its own soundtrack, like the previous games.
