Amoore moved to Italy at 17 years old on a modeling contract. After living in Italy, Spain and Germany, she moved to Paris to join Elite Model Management. In 1991 she appeared in a 21-page editorial for Vanity Fair, shot by French photographer Dominique Isserman. That same year she appeared on the covers of Vogue, and Photo (French magazine). She has been quoted that she owes her powerful runway strut to J. Alexander (model) (America's Next Top Model, who "taught" her how to walk. On and off the runway she has worked for John Galliano, Giorgio Armani, Gianni Versace, Azzedine Alaia, Nicole Miller, Chantal Thomas, Costume National, and Katherine Hamnett.[1][2]
In 2001, Amoore created and produced Baby Know It All, a DVD series for toddlers that featured actress Natasha Henstridge as the voices of The Peekaboots.
Amoore has remained with close ties to the fashion business, supporting Los Angeles designers, and Los Angeles Fashion Week. In the past decade she lent her creative talents and experience as a fashion stylist for celebrities including Natasha Henstridge, Nicky Hilton, and Guns N Roses band members Slash and Duff McKagan; as a creative director for fashion brands and editorial magazine spreads; and as a fashion journalist.
In 2007, Amoore became an on-camera personality in the Hollywood celebrity circuit.[3]
Amoore was interviewed on Inside The Edge in 2008 about a non fiction book she was writing, but in a subsequent interview said that she put the non fiction book on hold, and finished her first novel instead.
She came out of retirement in 2007 to walk in the annual charity walk off for Keep A Breast Foundation.[4] Amoore has since appeared in Los Angeles on the runways for designers Kelly Nishimoto and Julia Clancey.
Amoore grew up as an athlete in San Diego, California. When her dream of becoming a goalkeeper were cut short due to a hit-and-run accident, she became a fashion model. Amoore currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Amoore married French photographer Pierre Amoore in 1995. They have two sons together. The couple separated in 2005.
