Leslie Richard Case was born in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, Australia 12 Sep 1903 to parents William Richard Steele Case and Sarah Lydia Jane Clark who married 16 May 1901. William and Sarah also had a daughter Violet Florence Maud in 1901.
Soon after Leslie was born William and Sarah separated and his grandmother Tamar Jane Everest nee Rose raised him and his sister Violet. Leslie then became known as Leslie James Everest.
Little is known about Leslie's schooling and upbringing to this date but on 26 May 1928 he married Hettie Parker, at the Baptist Church Taringa, Brisbane. Hettie was born in Lancashire, England in 1894. He and Hettie had two children John Leslie Everest born 3 Apr 1929 in Brisbane, Queensland and Robert Parker Everest born 1931 in Brisbane, Queensland.
Leslie enlisted in the Australian Army 8 Mar 1941 becoming a corporal before being discharged 15 Nov 1944. Leslie was a baker from and early age and continued this occupation after his army discharge. He and Hettie lived at Payne St Torwood from 1941 until Hettie's death 10 Jul 1971. Leslie then married/de-facto Emma Maria (unknown surname).
Leslie James and Emma Maria are found in the Queensland Electoral Roll residing at Geera St Coorparoo from 1974 until Leslie's death on 28 Oct 1978
Leslie James and Hettie Everest are both interred at Mt Thompson Crematorium, Holland Park, Brisbane.
