Lisa Fury is a female professional wrestler from Liverpool, England. Lisa currently competes for All Star Wrestling promotions in the UK and Nu-Wrestling Evolution in Italy, working as both a wrestler and a valet.

Early life

While still in school, Fury contacted Brian Dixon at the age of sixteen, he advised her to look into martial arts in preparation for a wrestling career.[1] Lisa Fury enrolled in Ju-Jitsu classes and spent two years learning the ancient Japanese martial art to aid in learning the basics of wrestling.[1] She obtained a Blue Belt in Ju-Jitsu.[1] She then began her training under Robbie Brookside.[1]

Professional wrestling career

Fury was contacted by Brian Dixon of All Star Wrestling when she was 18 years old. On February 26, 2002, Lisa Fury debuted as a manager for "The Wildcat" Robbie Brookside. Brookside went on to train her. In the summer of 2002, Lisa Fury began her training with Brookside in Kirkdale, Liverpool. After three months of intensive training, Fury was ready for her first match. She wrestled then European Women's Champion, Klondyke Kate.

Lisa Fury wrestled on the independent circuit of England and the rest of Europe for several years. From May 2006, she began touring with the Italian promotion, Nu-Wrestling Evolution, becoming one of its Destiny Girls;[1] she continued to appear in the promotion as part of several tours during 2006 and into 2007.

In the summer of 2007, Lisa competed for the Independent Wrestling Federation at Wrestliada in Moscow, Russia. She was victorious against Russian Ladies Champion Vika Kamentsov in a non-title match. On November 30, 2007, Lisa defeated Blue Nikita in Bremen, Germany for the EPW Women's Championship.

On November 13th, 2009, Lisa made an appearance for World Wrestling Entertainment on SmackDown, losing in a match against Beth Phoenix under the name Lisa Taylor.

Personal life

Lisa Fury's grandfather, Tony Fury, was a professional wrestler,[3] who competed in the UK in the 1950s and 1960s.[1] She credits him as having the most influence on her career.[2][4]

Outside of wrestling, Lisa has worked as a legal secretary.[4] She also hopes to have a career in modeling and was featured on Maxim magazine's UK website in 2006.[5] She is a former lingerie model.[3]
