The 1999 Oklahoma tornado outbreak that occurred from May 3 to May 8, 1999 across the Midwestern and Southeastern United States produced a total of 140 tornadoes across several states with about half of them across Oklahoma, mostly on May 3. Other tornadoes in the US struck Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. At least 48 people were killed during the outbreak, the majority by an F5 that tore through the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area.

F1 Hull Outaouais 2200 unknown A brief tornado struck the Canadian city of Hull, injuring six people and damaging numerous structures.[13] During its five minute track, several cars were overturned, windows were shattered and some structures were shifted off their foundations. Four people were injured after the wall of a shopping center collapsed onto a window, sending shards of glass all over.[14] A fifth person had her arm broken after she was picked up and tossed across the street by the tornado.[15] Throughout the city, roughly 10,000 of the 65,000 residents lost power. According to the local police, losses were estimated at C$2 million ($1.3 million USD).[14]
