Stan's side

• Jack Smith (voiced by Daran Norris) - Jack Smith is Stan's real father. For most of his life, Stan believed his father to be a top secret agent in "Con Heir". In reality, he was a jewel thief. After the man Stan paid to pretend to be his father died, Grandpa Smith (the real Jack) dropped in on the family. Roger developed a "boy crush" on Jack but the other family members were wary of him. Roger goes so far as to dress like him and keeps Francine locked in a cage because Jack put her in there. Jack has gray hair and is missing an eye, based on the traditional look of Marvel Comics' super-spy Nick Fury, but otherwise resembles Stan Smith. Roger compares him to Kurt Russell's character Snake Plissken from Escape from New York and Escape from L.A.. Jack makes his second appearance in "Oedipal Panties" (he has no lines), in a flashback showing him running out on Stan and his Mother. Jack makes his third appearance (second speaking) in the episode "Jack's Back", in which Steve decides to visit him in his jail. When it is discovered that Stan never learned to ride a bicycle because his father wasn't there for him at the moments of need, Steve decides to reconsider them both by making Stan visit the jail where Jack is passing his sentence. After the latter one is released on Stan's parole, Klaus suggests the three of them should go camping as an act of reuniting Stan with his own father. It turns out to be a bad idea as Stan soon finds out that Jack is using his grandson to appeal to Stan so that he could defend his own father in court during the next trial verdict. Jack then turns Steve to his side and both run away, all while Steve begins viewing Jack as a father figure. When things get out of hand, however, Jack confesses that he is a crook who was up to no good all this time and wishes Stan wouldn't lose Steve in times of need as much he himself once did. When Stan finds out about this, he forces himself to ride his bike to the courthouse to give his own word of reference about his father's verdict, but arrives too late, much to both Jack's and Steve's contempt. Jack is sentenced to five more years of prison, but is not bothered by the idea now that he has formed a genuine relationship with his grandson, and Stan promises to visit him this time.

• Betty Smith (voiced by Swoosie Kurtz) - Betty Smith is Stan's mother. After her husband Jack left abandoned them, Stan took care of her and Betty began to depend unnaturally on Stan. However, this evolved to the point where he abducted all of her new boyfriends for fear that they would end up hurting her and dumped them on an uncharted island. She later marries Hercules, a widowed Greek butcher who she meets through Francine, and tells Stan that neither she nor Stan need to depend on one another as they once did, ending his obsessive protectiveness of her. Stan accepts that Betty has moved on and accepts their marriage. Betty is still unaware of Stan's earlier actions, and all her previous suitors remain on a deserted island near Greece.

• Nicholas Smith - In the episode Meter Made, It is revealed that Stan has a half-brother who lives in the Midwest. Little is known about him, other than he doesn't like being called "bro" by Stan, a writing joke breaking the fourth wall that was originally used earlier in the episode when Francine calls her sister "sis" and then commenting that she didn't know why she called her that, saying that it feels "expositional." In Jack's Back it is revealed that Nicholas is the half-sibling that Jack has kept from Betty and Stan their whole lives.

Bàba and Māma Ling arriving unannounced in Big Trouble in Little Langley

• Bàba and Māma Ling (voiced by Tzi Ma and Amy Hill respectively) - Francine's Chinese adoptive parents. Stan once found their ways of living and Mandarin linguistics unbearably annoying, especially since whenever they visited, they would practically take over and redecorate his house, somewhat confusingly in Japanese fashion with a lower table and no shoes inside the house. However, after they saved his life when his house was on fire, Stan has since warmed up and come to respect them, and Baba in turn apologized to Stan for not showing him more respect; admitting that they were focusing most their attenion on Gwen as Stan was a decent son-in-law who is taking care of Francine. Much of their behavior is a parody of oriental stereotypes and subsequently, are a mix of Japanese and Chinese culture. For example, bowing is a more pronounced characteristic of Japanese culture than Chinese.

• Gwen Ling - Gwen is Francine's adoptive sister who is frequently mentioned but never seen. She was first mentioned in Lincoln Lover. After Stan meets Francine's true parents he tries to manipulate Francine into wanting to meet them and disown Baba and Mama, which he does so successfully when he shows Francine their will, in which everything is left to Gwen. At the end of the episode it is revealed that Mama and Baba think Gwen is an idiot and will need all the stuff that they have when they pass away whilst Francine is smart and will not need it. During an "expositional" joke, Gwen is implied to be three years younger than Francine. Stan apparently lusts after Gwen who's repeatedly stated as being "hot." Stan once wondered if he should get her married with Greg or Terry which Francine says is not a good idea because they're obviously gay although Stan just thinks it is because she is too hot for them (although he later finds out the truth).

Nicholas and Cassandra Dawson

• Nicholas and Cassandra Dawson (voiced by Jeff Perry and Holland Taylor respectively) - Francine's biological parents. They abandoned Francine as an infant just so they could board a first class plane trip, since they could not do so with her. They are incredibly wealthy and appear good-natured, but deep down they are very self-centered. Stan once befriended them and tried to introduce them to Francine (who has no memory of them), but stopped trying after being put off by their selfish nature, feeling she's better off not knowing about them. They leave without meeting her.

C.I.A.

• Avery Bullock (voiced by Patrick Stewart) - Avery Bullock is the Deputy Director of the CIA, and Stan's 58-year-old-boss. He is as highly-strung as Stan, but considerably less paranoid and usually more competent. He once had a sexual relationship with Hayley, which almost cost Stan his job until Hayley left Avery for her old boyfriend. He is married, but his wife, Miriam was handcuffed to a radiator in Fallujah, as he "does not negotiate with terrorists." She was rescued by Stan in the episode "One Little Word". Bullock prefers the company of younger, "plump Asian" women (as he sings about girl fantasies). Many jokes are built around Avery giving a respected Shakespearean actor the most unlikely scenes and lines (such as a Seussian rhyme about all the things that can be purchased at a strip club), an energetic two-hour banjo session, singing "Little Girls" by Oingo Boingo while dressed in a woman's robe, and jokes referring to Stewart's prominent role as Star Trek: The Next Generation captain Jean-Luc Picard. A recurring joke is that Bullock runs the CIA like kindergarten, with time-outs and show-and-tell. "Bullocks to Stan", during the fight scene at the end of the episode, there is a joke referring to Star Trek, however, this is hidden by Klaus' commentary (though the joke was revealed during the actual DVD commentary for the episode). Bullock appears in the Family Guy episode, "Lois Kills Stewie", where he and Stan attempt to stop Stewie at gunpoint.

• Sanjen "A.J." Bullock - A.J. is Avery Bullock's adopted son. Director Bullock adopted him in "Four Little Words". He was originally adopted by Francine who fled to another country because she was convinced she murdered her best friend, Melinda. However, the murder was staged by Stan and Bullock (who accidentally killed her while on a blind date). Devoting herself to missionary work, Francine adopts Sanjen after his mother dies, but relinquishes him to Bullock out of anger after finding out the murder was a set up. Bullock grows fond of A.J., who cures his loneliness. Though Bullock loves A.J., he is often irresponsible with him, viewing A.J. as hindering his chances of meeting women. After Stan frees Bullock's wife Miriam from Fallujah, she immediately accepts and loves A.J. as her adopted son.

• Jackson (voiced by Mike Henry) - One of Stan's co-workers at the CIA. He was once a real estate agent, and is a "former homosexual". Apparently, when he stopped selling houses, his "sodomy cleared right up." His conversion has been suggested to be unsuccessful.suggesting that he may be transgender as well. Moreover, when asked if he ever "did it with a dead mermaid", he replied "Mermaid, no." He previously had a body double who was accidentally killed by Stan. He is almost always seen with something in his hands such as a coffee cup.

• Dick Reynolds (voiced by Stephen Root in 2005-2007, David Koechner in 2008-present) - Dick Reynolds is another of Stan's co-workers at the CIA. His wife eventually got a job in which she earned more money than him. He did not initially mind, but she kept earning more and more, and eventually his genitals disappeared, a joke referencing his sense of emasculation. He has a son who has a freakishly large hand with which he beats his father. He is now divorced from his wife Sheila and has a dog named Biscuit, which he seized from Sheila when he was angry that the courts awarded ownership of the dog to her during their divorce.

• Sanders (voiced by Mike Barker) - Another agent at the CIA. He often takes part in meetings with Bullock and Stan. He goes out with Jackson and Dick and once killed a panda.

• Duper (voiced by Phill Lewis) - Agent Duper is a CIA Agent and rival of Stan Smith who first appears in "Roger Codger". He beats Stan's time on a "Regime Change" testing simulation (he had a better snappy line than Stan's as well). When Stan placed a bomb in Bullock's office to make himself look good by saving the day, Duper disabled it when Stan could not see the manual (after dropping and breaking his reading glasses). In a later episode, his essay on President Bush beat Stan's, but he was disqualified after learning most of his essay was plagiarized from Willy Wonka.

• Bill (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) - Bill is Stan's CIA double who looks exactly like him, but speaks with a cowboy accent. He often takes Stan's place whenever there are things he doesn't want to do, like Steve's baptism or cooking classes with Francine. He was once shot in the knees by Francine, and, while being transported to a helicopter for medical treatment, he overheard the EMT workers discussing whether or not his legs could be saved, and begins to panic when they come to the conclusion that they would have to be amputated. He returns later in "Pulling Double Booty" when he started dating Hayley after Hayley was dumped by her last boy friend. He later turns his attentions to Francine, trying to sleep with her by pretending to be Stan. When he is discovered by Francine, Stan chases him out and he disappears.

• Reginald (voiced by Donald Fullilove) - Like Klaus, Reginald is an animal with the brain of a human. His first appearance was in Family Affair where he was revealed to have been a homeless man at one point who, in an attempt to get a free hot meal, chose to partake in a CIA experiment, and had his brain put into the body of a koala. The lyrics of an '80s theme song played in the episode imply that he uses his new adorable body to go on missions, able to distract the enemy with his cute koala body such that no one would question him. In the episode Wife Insurance it is shown that he goes on dangerous missions like Stan and the others. He is regularly seen relaxing in Stan's pool.

• Jim (voiced by Patrick Wilson) - Jim was an agent who appeared in Wife Insurance. His skills as a ladies' man never ceased to amaze Stan, including being able to evidently make a lesbian straight. After being captured with Stan in Latin America, Jim used his skills on the female guards to help the two escape. When Stan revealed to Francine that he had a "back-up wife", she got back at him by declaring that Jim was her "back-up husband". He was shot by Meg, whether or not he was killed is unknown

News readers; the Corbin-Bates household

Greg Corbin and Terry Bates are Langley Falls' local news anchors and gay domestic partners who move to Stan's neighborhood. Stan was completely unaware of the fact that his neighbors are a gay couple and while initially prejudiced against them for their practice of liberal journalism, he merely considered them nice young men that just happen to live together. He later discovers that they are gay in the episode "Lincoln Lover", and is initially prejudiced against them until he realizes that being straight (and therefore, being gay by extension) is not a choice and accepts them both, sometimes referring to gay love as something even more exquisite than heterosexual love. He initially disagrees with their decision to have a child (with Francine as the surrogate) going so far as to kidnap the baby after her birth and attempt to put her up for adoption. He later realizes that children of same-sex couples are as normal as those raised by heterosexual couples and accepts Terry and Greg's family, though he has an injunction filed against him by Terry and Greg preventing him from coming near the baby, although this restraining order either expired or was lifted, as in future episodes Stan is able to go near the baby. Both were shot in "A Jones for a Smith" and it is unknown if they survived.

• Greg Corbin (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) - Greg Corbin is a Langley Falls Local News Anchor at W-ANG-TV, Terry's co-anchor and domestic partner, and neighbor to the Smiths. He and Terry have a penchant for minor bickering, flirting, and working on stereotypical "couples' issues" on the set or in other scenes of the show. Greg is a member of the Log Cabin Republicans, and has brown hair. He is presented as being very culturally sophisticated, at one point causing Stan to choose him over Francine as his guest to get into Avery Bullock's high-end party. He and Terry have a surrogate baby daughter, Liberty Belle. Before Libby's birth, Greg is panicky, questioning his ability and readiness to be a father, but immediately loves Libby upon holding her for the first time. He is the "power top" in his and Terry's relationship and was once involved in a heterosexual marriage, during a period of time in which he was "confused" and believed he was heterosexual.

• Terry Bates (voiced by Mike Barker) - Terry Bates is a Langley Falls Local News Anchor, Greg's co-anchor and domestic partner, and the Smiths' neighbor. Terry is a Democrat with blond hair. He once goes out for a night with Stan as Stan erroneously attempts to "become gay" by choice, though they stop short of having sex when Stan realizes that he cannot choose to be gay. He has a surrogate daughter with Greg, Liberty Belle and owns a French bulldog named Heath Ledger. He is the "bottom" in their relationship. Another strain on his relationship with Greg was when Greg was revealed to be part of the Log Cabin Republicans, to which Terry threw a tantrum in front of the whole neighborhood in disbelief at how Greg could have voted for George W. Bush. In the past, Terry is implied to be closeted from his father, stating, "I've told you, as soon as my father dies I will wear the ring!", upsetting Greg, who believes Terry should stop hiding their relationship. In Daddy Queerest Terry tries to hide his relationship from his father, a famous retired American football player named Tank Bates (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson), when he comes to visit. He pretends that Francine is his girlfriend and that Libby is their illegitimate daughter, and claims that Stan and Greg are gay lovers. When Stan drunkenly outs Terry, Tank disowns Terry. After unsuccessful attempts by Stan to decipher the basis of Tank's homophobia, Terry eventually gives his father the option of accepting him and being a part of their family or leaving, with Tank choosing to disown him. Terry participates in the Vietnam War reenactment (but has no lines) in the episode In Country...Club. An Imperial officer in Family Guy Blue Harvest was referred to as Terry after a joke about "paying by the laser" but this Terry didn't share Terry Bates' voice or cleft chin so we can assume they were not the same character.

Pearl Bailey High School

• Principal Lewis (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson) - The Principal of Pearl Bailey High School, which Steve attends. When Steve was Student Body President, he commandeered Principal Lewis' office, as the SB president was entitled to secure any school grounds he needed. Lewis did not mind, though, since in doing this Steve proved that he could read, and that the system worked. He later allowed Stan to teach a "morally upright" sexual education class, but only Steve was signed up for it. He is a member of the "Illuminutty" - a parody of the Illuminati revolving around a supposed conspiracy involving the invention of peanut butter. He seems to have had some involvement in the armed forces/law enforcement because when presented with a tip that Steve was in possession of narcotics (which appears to be cocaine), he displayed detailed knowledge of the source and method of cutting the said drugs, and concluded that a specific drug lord named Esteban Mortilla was back in business and told Steve to tell him that 'El Lobo Negrón' (which translates to 'The Black Wolf') sends his regards. He is the father of Janet, revealed in "Escape from Pearl Bailey" but is deeply ashamed of her for "more reasons than you can imagine," explaining that this is why he never revealed their relationship as father and daughter before. He keeps $500 hanging out of his pocket to make the students think he is rich. Lewis has taken part in war reenactments and was "killed" during a Vietnam War reenactment (partly because Steve fell asleep during watch duty and thus allowed the Viet Cong to attack the American camp).

• Schmuley "Snot" Lonstein (voiced by Curtis Armstrong in 2005-2010, Johnny Hardwick in 2010-present) - Schmuley "Snot" Lonstein is Steve's mustached (albeit a very thin one) and acne-covered friend. He speaks Klingon, and seems to read Elvish. Like Steve, he has a fetish for octogenarian women. He is Jewish and poor, as he said his parents couldn't afford a Bar Mitzvah, although Steve pays for one in an attempt to apologize when he was falsely accused of theft in the episode Bar Mitzvah Shuffle. His parents have him see a therapist who is implied to engage with him inappropriately and romantically. Steve reveals that his father left Snot's family and may have been abusive toward her. He is generally considered to be Steve's best friend but is quite fickle in this role, having cheated with Steve's girlfriends and pelted him with apples during a period where Steve was in a brace for scoliosis in order to gain social accpetance. In the episode "Black Mystery Month" he is mentioned to have solved mysteries with Steve when they were younger. He refused to help Steve figure out the mystery, as he had quit when "the case of the missing bike horn, turned into a double rape homicide". His uncle was apparently murdered at or near the site where he had his Bar Mitzvah, in a possibly anti-semitic attack. Snot appears to be the least eccentric member of Steve's clique. He is an obvious homage to Armstrong's character Booger from the Revenge of the Nerds movies.

• Barry Robinson (voiced by Eddie Kaye Thomas in his normal voice, Craig Ferguson in his mastermind voice) - Barry Robinson is Steve's obese friend. Stan hates him, often yelling violent, aggressive insults about his weight at him, but does not know why. He can speak Klingon, and seems to be able to read Elvish. He apparently has a fetish for Miss Piggy. It is revealed in the episode "With Friends Like Steve's" that his normally quiet, border-line mental retardation, and innocent personality is the result of powerful anti-psychotic "vitamins." After stopping his medication regimen, Barry turns into a deranged mastermind, speaking with a low voice "like Gary Oldman," framing Steve for the destruction of Stan's beloved commemorative plates, in an attempt to replace Steve. His madness gets worse over time, culminating with Barry trying to eliminate everyone that might get between himself and Stan. Finally Steve saves the day by tricking Barry into taking his medication, reverting him back to his usual self. This facet of his personality hasn't surfaced again, though it is hinted at in "When a Stan Loves a Woman", where he helps Snot and Toshi beat up a drugged Steve and viciously screams that they should kill Steve's whole family after they are done. He dresses and speaks in a high-pitched and cacophonous way, similar to Chris Griffin from Family Guy. Barry's parents have not appeared in the show, but he describes them as ignorant and implies that they engage in bondage sex play and smoke pot. Other statements about his parents imply that they abuse him or are negligent toward him, making him sleep in their basement and often forget he is their son (or that they have a son).

• Toshi Yoshida (voiced by Daisuke Suzuki) - Steve's Japanese friend. Though he can understand English perfectly, he always speaks Japanese with subtitles (it seems that he can not speak English, as he required his sister for translation to be sure he would be understood), which his friends don't seem able to understand. A recurring joke is that everyone assumes Toshi has said something completely unrelated or opposite to what he has actually said, such as in the episode "The Magnificent Steven" when Stan was on trial for having the boys take diseased cows to the slaughter house. Steve and his friends defended Stan telling the judges he showed them to be tough, while Toshi (shown through subtitles as he was speaking in Japanese) states that, "Stan Smith is a dangerous menace. He nearly killed us. The harshest punishment is required.." for his twisted actions." The judge and the rest of the courthouse believe this to be "a touching tribute to Stan as a mentor and drop all charges against him. Toshi studied Russian in order to impress an attractive mail order bride named Svetlana in ("Of Ice and Men"). He has the characteristics of a Japanese stereotype from a W.W.II-era cartoon: he is mischievous, cruel and anti-American. Toshi has expressed the desire to kill Steve as his greatest wish (as seen in "Finances with Wolves"), and he claims to have killed before. In the episode, "Bar Mitzvah Shuffle", Toshi demonstrates that he is the only character outside the Smith family able to see through Roger's disguises, stating, "Ah, yes, the alien in the wig." Toshi has a sister named Akiko, who acts as a translator. Despite his apparent inability to speak English, his sister and parents can speak excellent English.

• Akiko (voiced by Grey DeLisle) - Akiko is Toshi's sister. She speaks perfect English and often translates for Toshi, who always speaks Japanese.

• Debbie Hyman (voiced by Lizzy Caplan) - An overweight goth girl that Steve asks out in "The American Dad After School Special." When she and Steve begin dating, it causes Stan to become anorexic because he is disgusted by her obesity. Steve breaks up with her after he realizes she was causing it, but they get back together when he realizes it did not help. Stan overcomes his problem at the end of the episode and accepts her after she demonstrates her prowess with firearms. Debbie later appears in "Iced, Iced Babies", though she reportedly breaks up with Steve by the end. She and Steve get back together in "Escape From Pearl Bailey." Steve gets Debbie to run for Student Council President against head cheerleader, Lisa Silver. Debbie loses when a slam page of her on the internet gets all over school. Steve, thinking that Lisa and her friends did it, gets revenge on them and when he tells Debbie, she breaks up with him, as she does not believe in vengeance. It later turns out that Steve's friends, Snot, Barry, and Toshi made the slam page because they view her as monopolizing his time and everyone in the entire school goes after them. They get caught by Debbie's clique, who tells them to let Steve go and makes up with him. She tries to get Steve to come with her, but he says he wants to stay by his friends. Debbie then lets them all go, while she and the other goths distract the student body. In "Bar Mitzvah Shuffle" Debbie falls for Snot's Bar Mitzvah study buddy Etan because she says he's more mature than Steve. Steve then sabotages Etan's Bar Mitzvah, hoping to prove that Etan is less mature than she thinks he is. However, Snot is blamed for the sabotage and when Steve bravely admits to sabotaging the party, Debbie refuses to get back together with him.

• Lisa Silver (voiced by Carmen Electra in the Pilot, Elizabeth Banks in later appearances) - Head cheerleader and most popular girl in school. She first appears in the pilot episode, where Steve tries to ask her out but she rejects him. When Steve becomes Student Council President, they date, but she dumps him when he tries to kiss her. Stan has her family deported. She reappears in "1600 Candles", where Steve successfully asks her out to the prom after his confidence is boosted by the appearance of his first pubic hair. In "Escape from Pearl Bailey", she runs for Student Council President against Steve's girlfriend, Debbie, and Steve infects her with oral herpes, believing her responsible for a slam page that cost Debbie the election.

• Lindsey Coolidge (voiced by Terri Lyn Rodriguez) - One of several girls that Steve repeatedly tries to impress. In her first appearance in Francine's Flashback she remarked that Steve was more fun to be around than she thought. However, she immediately discovers Roger's secret identity as an alien and has to have her memories wiped by Stan. In Big Trouble In Little Langley Lindsey states that she likes guys who engage in risky behavior, resulting in Steve accidentally blowing his thumb off with a fire cracker. After the accident she lets Steve touch her breast, but when he says he can't feel anything due to the anesthesia in his hand she assumes he means that she is flat-chested and storms off. Steve begins learning to play the cello in Choosy Wives Choose Smith in an effort to impress Lindsey once again, who he then describes as "a cello slut." Steve is successful, but brushes Lindsey off after a recital to attend to an injured cat (which attacks him).

Jeff Fischer

• Jeff Fischer (voiced by Jeff Fischer) - Jeff Fischer is Hayley's stoner boyfriend. He has a poor relationship with his father, Henry, who is a marijuana grower and dealer and who used him to ship drugs resulting in Jeff being framed for drug trafficking. His mother either abandoned him before his birth (Joint Custody) or gave birth to him in his van, which he now lives (Stan Knows Best). He has an uncle whom Jeff considers a father figure. Jeff is a high school drop out. Hayley repeatedly dumps him for being needy, clingy and overly agreeable, which often leaves Jeff crushed until their inevitable reconciliation. Hayley seems to cheat on him fairly often (she has been shown having several other sexual partners over the series' run), though Jeff seems to either not know or not care about this. Hayley has mentioned that one day she and Jeff might get married which makes Jeff extremely happy. Jeff enjoys events like Burning Man. In Dungeons and Wagons, he writes in a notebook with his left hand and, seconds later, plays a guitar with his right, suggesting that Jeff is ambidextrous. Jeff seems to share in Hayley's sexual fetishes, once trying to assemble a sex swing. Jeff dumped Hayley once, resulting in Hayley going crazy and destroying a mall. Jeff will return in an episode airing in 2010. Jeff is based on Seth MacFarlane's friend of the same name.

• Linda Memari (voiced by Megyn Price) - A woman of Iranian descent, the wife of Bob Memari and close friend to Francine. Linda saves Francine from the Lady Bugs, a social group for women who cheat on their husbands, by kissing her. It has been suggested that Linda may not be attracted to her husband and is a closeted lesbian. In an attempt to hit on Francine, she rearranged her clothes to make her bust more prominent and knocked on the Smith Family door (prompting a drunk Stan to comment "When did you get those?"). After thinking that Stan was beating Francine, she makes an awkward excuse to leave. Francine then says, "She's a weird chick." Linda's husband is apparently resigned to her preferences, and asks, in a defeated tone, if he can "at least watch this time", when he sees Linda eying Francine.

• Bob Memari (voiced by Ron Livingston) - Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Bob is the Iranian husband to Linda Memari and neighbor of Stan. Stan initially discriminates against Bob and suspects he and his wife are terrorists because of their ethnic background, as seen in the episode "Homeland Insecurity". Ironically, Bob is not upset at Stan's accusations, because he himself says his previous neighbors were far worse; "They were black." implying he himself is racist.

• Chuck White (voiced by Mike Barker) - Stan's gloating arch-enemy, who often outdoes Stan. Chuck is over-protective of his daughter, Betsy, forcing her to do gymnastics and keeping her away from boys because he believes they will get her pregnant. He ends each sentence with a mocking laugh, e.g. "Looks like you're parking in the sun again, ha-ha!"; however, he does not seem to have any control over it, and always seems to laugh even when angry or depressed.

• Kristy White (voiced by Molly Shannon) - Kristy is Chuck's snobbish wife. She appears in Not Particularly Desperate Housewife and Meter Made, often antagonizing Francine, even recognizing with joy that her actions make her "such a bitch." She is a member of "The Ladybugs," a women's group masquerading as a charity that actually compares notes on their sexual affairs. Despite this, she tells her daughter that holding hands with a boy will get her pregnant.

• Betsy White (voiced by Marley Shelton) - Betsy is the daughter of Chuck and Kristy White. She is forced to do gymnastics by her parents and stay away from boys. Steve attended her CPR Class in order to get closer to her. When Steve is pregnant with Roger's alien baby, Betsy kisses Steve, causing her to become pregnant. Her parents send her to a farm in Iowa to have her baby and she is glad to be told she no longer has to do gymnastics. She has an older brother, but his name has not been mentioned.

• Mr. Hallworthy - A kind old wheelchair-using man. He lives alone and pays Steve to cut his grass. He has mentioned he has children. He was one of many neighbors who talked "smack" about Stan in "I Can't Stan You". He later dies in "Red October Sky," undiscovered for days. Sergei Kruglov moves in to his home after his death. None of the neighbors are moved by his death with the exception of Hayley, who states that he helped build Langley Falls, "albeit with the vision of an all-white utopia."

• Sergei Kruglov (voiced by Steve Hely) - A former KGB agent. In 1988, Stan and Sergei are captured by their respective opponent sides, but during the prisoner exchange Stan was recaptured by the Soviets. After the Berlin Wall falls and the Soviet Union collapses, Sergei's wife leaves him for a West German tennis equipment salesman and his son becomes an entrepreneur who sells Halloween costumes for dogs. Vowing to steal Stan's son for communism, he eventually moves to Langley Falls and into the home formerly owned by Mr. Hallworthy after it is discovered that Mr. Hallworthy has died. Sergei then helps Steve construct a model rocket while teaching him the ways of communism. Stan then wins Steve back, and Sergei helps Barry construct a rocket which wins the school's contest. Toward the end of the episode he acts like a normal neighbor to Stan coming over both to threaten him and then give Stan mail belonging to him that was in his mailbox. Sergei is on the Homeowners' Association Board.

• Father Donovan (voiced by Martin Mull) - The pastor of the Episcopalian Church that the Smiths attend. He is extremely bored with and resentful of his job and faith, preferring to go fishing on Sunday. Donovan gets all information for eulogies from driver's licenses and is not above having sex with married women of his congregation (though he is especially attracted to Francine). Donovan implies that he is an atheist - when Stan asks him what to do about his best friend who doesn't believe in God, Donovan replies, "Well Stan, we're hardly best friends." He has a heart surgery scar on his chest.

• Al Tuttle (voiced by Richard Kind) - Tuttle is a chatty fellow and one of the Smith's neighbors, Stan originally circled the block six or seven times to avoid talking to him in Homeland Insecurity. Stan was forced to stop and talk to him when he ran out of gas, this is when we (and Francine) find out that his wife Betty had died. Much later in Don't Look a Smith Horse in the Mouth It is revealed that Tuttle has become severely obese due to loneliness after loosing his wife but when Steve and his friends help him out of his house for the first time since the first season he returns to his friendly and optimistic self however he remains obese.

• Lisa Collins - A neighbor in Langley Falls. She is divorced and has had many lovers. She has three children with her ex-husband, who is yet to be named. The children are often left to do things such as sit in the car or pump gas while their mother gets a new lover. One of the children in particular would be her son Johnny, who Stan is always pulling his gun on to scare.

• Johnny Collins (voiced by Paul Butcher) - Lisa Collins' son. Stan is always pulling his gun out, pointing it at Johnny and shouting at him to scare him. Johnny is uncommonly mature for his age, commenting as an adult would on situations, such as the inappropriateness of Stan's frequent attempts to scare him and delivering a report as a "Kids Anchor" for the local news at the scene of a gruesome multi-death car pile up.

• Barbara "Barb" Hanson (voiced by Rachael MacFarlane in 2005-2010, Kathy Najimy in 2010-present) - She is the Langley Falls realtor at Expositions Realty. One of her hands is missing as it was cut off after Stan sent her to Guantanamo Bay in Threat Levels and she wears a prosthetic hook. She seems to have a strong dislike for Francine and is often seen hanging out with Kristy White. Roger 'n' Me reveals that she and Captain Monty are best friends.

• Captain Monty (voiced by Matt McKenna) - A man with only one eye, only one hand and only one leg, wearing stereotypical pirate gear, such as an eye patch, a prosthetic hook, and a peg leg. He speaks very slowly and in an excessively elaborate and hyperbolic manner. He is shown working as a waiter for a fondue restaurant, the host of the most prestigious children's books author interview program in Langley Falls and is best friends with Barbara Hanson. He is a parody of James Lipton.

• Beauregard LaFontaine (voiced by Leslie Jordan) - Langley Falls' leading hair stylist. He is a dwarf whose legs are deformed, requiring him to ride sidesaddle on his greyhound to get around. His middle name is Lawrence.

• The Turlingtons (voiced by Forest Whitaker) - There are several afro-american detective characters with the surname Turlington in American Dad!. They look identical, and act in very similar ways. They have similar mannerisms including speaking in a low voice and being suspicious of almost everything and everyone. The first Turlington appears in "Meter Made", working at Parking Internal Affairs. He is suspicious of Stan when the quarter count drops; in an example, Turlington tells Stan that he knows he could not be the culprit and immediately afterwards says that he is suspicious of him. At the end of the episode, he proclaims that he was suspicious of Stan but let his suspicions go after learning he is in the CIA. The given name of this particular Turlington is not revealed. The second Turlington appears in "Chimdale" and is identified as "Ron" by Mr. Chimdale, the manager of the Chimdale spa. In "Chimdale", Turlington's role is that of a spa detective. He is immediately suspicious of Roger and Francine, who smuggled Hayley to the spa. In addition, he is unable to find a pistachio thief and upon discovering Hayley asks the Smiths to help him. However, he instantly realizes that Mr. Chimdale was the thief; Chimdale had devised an "elaborate" mystery to make Turlington the greatest spa detective since his father. The third Turlington appears in "Live and Let Fry", protecting the border of Langley Falls from trans-fat smuggling. In this episode he identifies himself as "Daniel". A running gag is that he is slow to react, something that others take advantage of to get rid of the evidence before he arrives. All Turlingtons seem to have had emotional problems pertaining to their mothers, often trying to talk to them in heaven, asking for help or guidance. This, along with their physical appearances, implies that the Turlingtons are siblings. Turlington is based on the character of Jon Kavanaugh who was played by Forest Whitaker on the live drama series, The Shield.
