Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) related organizations range from social and support groups to organizations that are political in nature. Some groups are independent, while others are officially-recognized advocacy groups within mainstream religious organizations or political parties. For groups whose primary purpose is campaigning for the legal rights of LGBT people, please see List of LGBT rights organizations.

  • A Gender Agenda Community based organisation concerned with the health and wellbeing of the Sex and Gender Diverse community (Australia)
  • Affirmation Scotland — advocacy group composed of Church of Scotland members, works for a more LGBT-affirming denomination
  • Albany Trust — educational and counselling organization (United Kingdom)
  • Apostolic Restoration Mission — formed by the 2003 merger of the National Gay Pentecostal Alliance (NGPA) (founded 1980) and the Apostolic Intercessory Ministry (founded 1999);[1] engages in church planting—small NGPA churches were operating in 9 U.S. states, Russia, and the Ukraine as of 1998.[2]
  • Asian/Pacific Islander Queers United for Action — group for and by Asian/Pacific Islanders[3] in the Washington, D.C., area (United States), founded in 1997[4], also has an award-winning rowing team[5].
  • Association of Gay and Lesbian Psychiatrists — education and advocacy group for LGBT mental health issues (United States)
  • Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists — group of individuals, organizations, and congregations which advocate full LGBT-inclusion in Baptist churches (United States)
  • Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives - community-based organization committed to the collection and preservation of material reflecting the lives and experiences of LGBT Australians.
  • Axios — organization of Eastern Orthodox, Byzantine Rite, and Eastern Catholic Christians who are LGBT (International)

  • Bash Back, network of anarchist and anti-authoritarian queer projects (United States)
  • Bay View Garden and Yard Society (BVGAYS), a non-profit gardening and community organization in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. [1]
  • Bering Omega Community Services – Bering Omega provides compassionate healthcare and social services to people living with HIV/AIDS in the Houston, Texas GLBT community.
  • Beyondmedia Education, educates youth about HIV and sexual health. [6]

  • Bisexual Index, bisexual advocacy group (UK) [2][3]
  • Bisexual Movement Uganda - a group of university students fighting for a livable environment for all LGBTs in Uganda.

  • Changing Attitude International — group composed of members of the Anglican Communion, advocates a more LGBT-affirming denomination

  • Colt 45’s - (Houston, Texas) Founded in the spring of 1976 as a Gay Western charitable organization, The Colt 45’s basic goal was to serve the Houston community as a charity while still having a good time. In the past the community needs have changed and the Colt 45’s kept pace with the changes, especially in the area of AIDS and HIV. As a 501(c)(3) charity, they strive to serve the Houston HIV/AIDS community.

  • Chouettes Coquettes — social group for lesbian and bisexual women in Montreal who are their 20s and 30s (Canada)
  • Courage International — church-sanctioned ministry and lay group within the Roman Catholic church which promotes celibacy

  • Daughters of Bilitis — historical lesbian social and activist organization (United States)
  • DELGA — LGBT wing of the UK's Liberal Democrat party
  • DignityUSA — lay organization of LGBT-affirming Roman Catholics, not a church-sanctioned organization

  • Emergence International — support group for LGBT Christian Scientists (not to be confused with Scientology)
  • Empire of the Royal Sovereign and Imperial Court of the Single Star - (E.R.S.I.C.S.S. Houston, Texas) distributes funds throughout the year to direct beneficiaries for HIV/AIDS and Breast Cancer, as well as our reign beneficiaries who receive their funds at our annual investiture. Although our beginnings were meager we are proud to say that our donations back to the community currently average approximately $65,000.00 per reign. A member of the International Imperial Court System (IICS).
  • Empowering Spirits Foundation [7] — national LGBT non-profit, non-partisan civil rights organization.[7][8]
  • Evangelicals Concerned — group of LGBT evangelical Christians[9][10] (United States)

  • Houston GLBT Chamber of Commerce - A Houston area membership driven service organization whose goal is to help businesses, corporations and non-profit organizations reach, network, and communicate with the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender consumers.
  • H.A.T.C.H. - Dedicated to empowering Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (GLBTQ) adolescents, ages 13-20, to become responsible citizens and positive contributors to society in the Houston area.
