The first three seasons of Law & Order: Criminal
Intent have been released on DVD by NBC Universal subsidiary
Universal Studios Home
Entertainment in Region 1. Season one was released in 2003,
which was followed by season three in 2004. Season two was released
in 2006.[10]
Season three was released before the second season because the
studio hoped that if consumers could purchase the most recently
broadcast season, they would be more likely to watch the
forthcoming fourth season.[11] In
Regions 2 and 4, seasons one and two have been released in
chronological order. Episodes from seasons one, five, six, seven,
and eight have been made available to purchase at the iTunes Store and Amazon Video on Demand.[12][13]

Season 5:

During Season 5, Chris
Noth and Annabella Sciorra joined the cast and
the show began alternating episodes between the Goren/Eames team and
the new Logan/Barek team on
account of Vincent D'Onofrio's health at the
time. Annabella Sciorra, Jamey Sheridan,
and Courtney
B. Vance leave the series at the end of the season due to
unknown reasons. This season was the first time the series ever had
a two-part episode and "Cruise to Nowhere" was referenced
later for an eighth season episode titled "All In".

ordered were produced pre-strike, with the remaining 12 episodes to
be aired June 8, 2008.
In the episode "Purgatory", actor Dean Winters who portrayed Detective Brian Cassidy during the first season
(1999-2000) of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit guest
stars as a part of a duo of dirty cops. Det. Robert Goren is the other partner of
this duo as he goes undercover to take down a high-level
drug-dealer in order to prove himself while he is under suspension
pending a psychiatric evaluation.
Chris Noth (Mike Logan) departed the
