The following is a list of Pittsburgh Landmarks, officially recognized by the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation (PHLF) and approved by the Pittsburgh City Council. The designation is given to districts or individual buildings within the city limits that are significant for historical or architectural reasons.[1]

Any group or individual can nominate a building or district to be listed. The designation is then reviewed by the Historic Review Commision (HRC) and the City Planning Commission, who then pass on the nomination to the City Council. All final decisions are made by the City Council. If the City Council awards the designation, the HRC must review all publicly visible exterior alterations, including demolition, new construction, and additions to the building in question. As of 2001, there were 11 designated districts in the city and 62 individual structures. These districts and structures are listed below.[1]
