PV Narasimh Acharya (1924-1993)-Indian biochemist of the Prativadi Bhayankara family and University of Paris-Sorbonne educated, PV Acharya conducted groundbreaking work in Tuberculosis and was the first scientist to propose "Irreparable DNA Damage" as a source for pre-mature aging and cancer, resulting from exposure to industrial pollutants, ionizing radiation and food preservatives such as nitrites and nitrates.
