Many books and some filmed programs have focused on Barack Obama.
Barack Obama has written two books himself: Dreams from My Father, an autobiography, and The Audacity of Hope (2006)[1]. Other accounts include Barack Obama - Der schwarze Kennedy and The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama by Gwen Ifill about Obama and other active black politicians in the United States. Critical accounts include The Obama Nation[2] by Jerome Corsi and The Case Against Barack Obama by David Freddoso. Shelby Steele wrote the 2007 book A Bound Man: Why We Are Excited About Obama and Why He Can't Win.
Obama's books were reported to be popular in China even after the election.[3] Obama and rival candidate John McCain were featured in comic books.[4] They were also featured in a pair of "dress-up" books.[5] There was also a plan to rush out a book on Obama's Portuguese Water Dog Bo titled Bo, America's Commander In Leash[6]
The Associated Press reported in 2008 that "Anti-Obama" books were strong sellers.[7]
