This article includes list of countries of the world sorted by their GNI (Gross National Income) per capita at purchasing power parity (PPP) in 2008.

Countries with a GNI per capita of $11,906 or more are described as high income countries, between $3,856 and $11,905 as upper middle income, between $976 and $3,855 as lower middle income, and for lower income countries $975 or less.

$20,000+ = Very High Income Countries (VHI), $10,000-$19,999 = High Income Countries (HIC), $5,000-$9,999 = Middle Income Countries (MIC), $2,500-$4,999 = Low Income Countries (LIC), Under $2,500 = Very Low Income Countries (VLI).

Figures in italics are for 2007 or 2006. All data are in international dollars. Non-sovereign entities or other special groupings are marked in italics.
