Encyclopedia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A list of sports films that are based on books. If a book has been turned into both a film and a TV series (or TV film), then the TV series is included.

The "book", in some cases, may be a short story or a magazine article.

Many of the books are thoroughly about the sport in question. This is especially true for sports which are popular in the United States, baseball, US football, and so on.

This page documents a number of sports which are considered violent by some people, but not by others:
boxing, bullfighting, cockfighting, football, hockey, hunting.
