In early 2008, an
anti-homelessness program based on a successful Italian program was introduced to Victoria. Built
on a farm in Central Saanich, the program would
typically span two to five years for a homeless person to fully
recover. The program boasts a 70 to 80 percent success rate, as
opposed to the usual 28 day program with a five to ten percent
success rate.[3]
