Live in Chicago 23.10.95 is a five-track promotional live release by The Smashing Pumpkins. The CD was packaged as a companion piece with some French pressings of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
The concert was held at the Riviera Theater in Chicago, originally part of a live FM broadcast across the United States to most alternative rock stations of the time, to promote Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness which would be released the following day. It is of note that a power failure occurred three songs into the set, during the beginning of "Zero", forcing the band to stop playing. Following a brief delay, the band retook the stage and started the song over, continuing into the rest of the set. The encore featured three Cheap Trick songs performed with the band, who were also the show's supporting act.
All songs written by Billy Corgan.
