From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Louis Remacle (30 September 1910, Stoumont, Province of Li├Ęge - 1999) was a professor at the University of Liege. From a linguistic point of view, Louis Remacle has shown that a good number of the developments that we now consider typical of the Walloon language appeared between the 8th and 12th centuries. In 1956, he was awarded the Francqui Prize on Human Sciences.
