Love King is the upcoming third studio album by R&B singer-songwriter The-Dream.[3]
The album was set to be released in 2009, but was pushed back to 2010 due to The-Dream's busy schedule.[4] In July 2009, The-Dream said that Love King would be his final album, although he would still be producing, writing, and featuring on other albums.[5] In January of 2010, The-Dream announced that he had finished the album, and that it was the best of his three albums. He wrote that the album is scheduled to be released in May 2010.[6]
In February, it was announced that the album will be released on May 17, 2010.[7] On February 17, 2010, the first single, "Love King", premiered on Def Jam's official website.[8]. The-Dream said that he will release 4 singles and 4 videos prior to album's May 17 release date.[9][10]
