Lyle Setencich is a former college football coach.
The 1969 Fresno State graduate began his collegiate coaching career in 1979 as the defensive coordinator at Boise State. He held the position for two years and helped lead the team to the NCAA Division I-AA National Championship in 1980. He was the head coach of Boise State from 1983 to 1986, posting a 24–20 record as the head coach. He moved on to become head coach at Cal Poly SLO from 1987-1993, where he led the program to a 41–29–2 mark in seven seasons. He later coached at Pacific, Arizona State, and California. In 2003, he became defensive coordinator at Texas Tech. On September 23, 2007, he resigned from that position for personal reasons.[1]
