Maclean Hall is a residence hall at the University of Chicago. Although it is part of the university, it is located in a different ZIP code from the rest of campus. The four-story building, originally built as a retirement home, was acquired by the university and renovated in 1991.[1] It is named for Norman Maclean, U of C professor and author of the novel A River Runs Through It. There is only one college house in Maclean Hall—Maclean House, with 98 residents.[1]
