Madeline Elizabeth Duggan (born 28 June 1994; Bermondsey, London, England) is a British actress. She is best known for her portrayal of Lauren Branning in popular BBC soap opera EastEnders.

Career

In 2003, Duggan played the part of Little Cossette in the hit stage show Les Misérables at the Palace Theatre, London.^[1] She has also played the lead roles in two short films; In 2004, Amanda in Between Us^[2] and in 2006 she played Ellie in Spoilt Eggs.^[2]

It was announced in May 2006 that she would be playing Lauren Branning in the BBC soap opera EastEnders. She first appeared on screen on 3 July 2006.^[3]

As Lauren Branning on EastEnders, Madeline has worked closely with the actors Jo Joyner (Tanya Branning), Jake Wood (Max Branning), Lorna Fitzgerald (Abi Branning), Charlie Clements, (Bradley Branning), Scott Maslen (Jack Branning), Melissa Suffield (Lucy Beale), Thomas Law (Peter Beale), June Brown (Dot Branning), John Bardon (Jim Branning).
