Manami Yoshii (吉井愛美, Yoshii Manami^?, born November 11, 1981 in Tokyo, Japan) is a well-known Japanese adult film actress. Described as "a super lolita beauty," Yoshii was already popular as a gravure idol at the time of her AV debut.^[3]

Career

Yoshii's first AV was the November 2000 release, Growing Up Journal.^[4] In this first work in the AV industry, the popular gravure model is given one-on-one instruction from an experience AV actor.^[3] Water Fruit (December 2000) was Yoshii's second adult video. Like her first release, it was made for the KUKI studio.^[5] Also made for KUKI, Yoshii's third video, I Want to Get Lost (January 2001), had the actress at a ranch with a male actor, engaging in horse-back riding and fellatio.^[6] When asked what was the most difficult thing she's had to do for an AV, Yoshii responded, "I guess it was when I had to play a character that didn't fit me. It felt really awkward to say those lines."^[7]

In Origin (March 2001), Yoshii filmed nude and sex scenes on location at a tropical beach.^[2] Girls Just Can't Help it: Super High School Girls (April 2001) had Yoshii in the role of a young woman who is blackmailed into sex by her substitute teacher. This video included a scene of voyeurism in which Yoshii's stepbrother spies on her while she is masturbating in her room.^[8]

Fresh Bus Guide: Dangerous Looked-Up Room (May 2001) from the Alice Japan label had Yoshii in the title role, being seduced by her boss and raped by her ex-boyfriend.^[9] In Cosmos Plan's The Bondage Game (September 2001), Yoshii submits to bondage, sexual slavery and torture.^[10] Of these submissive roles in AVs, Yoshii says, "I'm really bad at playing the seductress role. I'm definitely more of a masochist than a sadist." Although she later added, "Being a sadist is fun too."^[7] On December 15, 2001 she appeared in an episode of the TV Asahi detective series Mixed Bathing Rotemburo Serial Murders (Konyoku Rotenburo Renzoku Satsujin, 元祖！混浴露天風呂連続殺人(21)^?) along with fellow AV Idol Kokoro Amano.^[11]

Her Monthly Manami Yoshii of May 2002, co-starred legendary AV actor Taka Kato.^[12] Kato is famed in the AV industry for an ability to produce female ejaculations through his digital dexterity,^[13] and Yoshii reportedly "ejaculates big time" in this video.^[12] Yoshii also appeared in her own entry in the Moodyz interracial series Black Semen in L.A..^[14]
