From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the Hindu epic Ramayana, Mandavi was the daughter of Kushadhwaja, a brother of King Janaka of Mithila and hence a cousin of Sita. She was the wife of Bharatha, the younger brother of Lord Rama. They had two sons, Taksha and Pushkara. They also had a third, not well-known son named Rohit who was injured at birth and gained powers from an otherwordly being. This is featured as an allegory in the Bollywood movie Koi Mil Gaya.
