Mandeville is a small city in Louisiana. It is located on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain in St. Tammany Parish.

Get in

From New Orleans and Metairie, take the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway north across the lake. From the east or west, Mandeville is a short distance south of Interstate 12 on either Highway 59 or Highway 190.

  • The old part of town along the Lakefront.
  • Fontainebleau State Park [1] is at the eastern edge of town.
  • Dew Drop Hall [2] Small historic dance and social hall built in 1895, in remarkably unmodified condition (never even wired for electric lights). Still used for live jazz events a few times a year.
  • Ruby's Roadhouse [3]; live music.
  • Fazzios Restaurant. Italian Food  edit
  • Times Grill. Great Burgers  edit
  • Trey Yeun [4] 600 N. Causeway Blvd. Very good upscale Chinese.
  • Donz on the Lake. Watch the sunset.  edit
  • The city of Covington and the town of Abita Springs are a short drive to the north; Madisonville is to the west. New Orleans and Metairie are across the Causeway on the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain.
