There are various quizzes that occur within MapleStory. These are usually used to finish part of a quest or an event. Some include rewards.

Cygnus Quiz

The Cygnus Quiz is part of the Cygnus Knights pre-release content. Cygnus Quiz is an Use item that randomly drops from monsters. If you use the book it will ask you a question, and if you answer it correctly, you will receive 800 Experience and the Cygnus' Blessing buff.

  • Answering a question correctly displays: "That is correct. You know about the knighthood very well. I will give you my blessing."
  • Answering a question incorrectly displays: "That is incorrect. There should be a book that summarizes our conversation in your Etc window. Have you read through it?"
Cygnus' Blessing

The buff grants you +10 Attack Rate, +80 Weapon Def., and +5 Speed for 10 minutes.

Find Master M

The "Daily Speed Quiz" available during the Find Master M event is called "Traces of Master M". You can take the quiz 5 times a day, with a 30 minute cooldown, by speaking with Cassandra (present in most towns).

The basics
  • There are three quizzes, each organized by a common type (items, monsters, and NPCs).
  • You have 15 seconds to answer each question correctly.
  • Each question simply asks you to type in the name of the image that appears (i.e. Red Potion for the icon of the etc. item).
  • If you answer it correctly, a small sound plays.
  • Incorrect answers result in no sound.
  • You must use capitals.
  • You cannot have excess space at the end (sometimes results from copy/paste).
  • Answers do not have to have spaces between parts of the name (i.e. "Desert Rabbit (F)" can be entered as "DesertRabbit(F)").
