MapleStory DS (Korean: 메이플스토리 DS) is an upcoming Nintendo DS adaptation of the original MMORPG game for Windows called MapleStory. It is currently under development by Nexon in cooperation with Nintendo. The Korean release date was set for sometime in 2009. ^[1] However, the release date has been announced a second time as sometime in January 2010. ^[2]

The game was announced at E3 2006. ^[3] On January 9, 2007, Nexon and the newly established Nintendo of Korea showcased MapleStory DS for the first time, releasing a trailer for the game. ^[4] The game was first projected to be released in September 2007.^[3]

MapleStory DS has been confirmed that it is not an MMORPG. In an interview with the manager of international business development at Nexon Stephen Lee, Lee explained that the upcoming game is simply a single player game with limited multiplayer features. ^[1]^[5] In addition, it has been announced that MapleStory DS will not support WiFi. ^[2]

MapleStory DS (메이플스토리DS) is an upcoming RPG for the Nintendo DS. MapleStory DS is a NDS adaption of the MMORPG game called MapleStory.

The game is currently being developed by Nexon in cooperation with Nintendo. Nexon Korea announced that once development is finished, they will proceed to testing. MapleStory DS is scheduled to be put on the market in 2010.

Not much is known about this game, but it will be single-player and have limited features.
