Marc Márquez Alenta (born 17 February 1993 in Cervera, Lleida, Spain) is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. Márquez made his championship debut on 13 April 2008 on the 125cc 2008 Portuguese Grand Prix at the age of 15 years and 56 days. He made his first podium on 22 June 2008 of the 2008 British Grand Prix at the age of 15 years and 127 days, becoming the youngest Spanish road racer to do it. In the 2009 French Grand Prix, Marquez achieved his first pole position, riding for the factory KTM team in 125cc and becoming the youngest Spanish road racer to do it at the age of 16 years and 89 days.
