Marcelo ("Marcelinho") Tieppo Huertas (born May 25, 1983 in Santa Catarina, Brazil) is a Brazilian professional basketball player. He also has Italian citizenship. He is a point guard, but he can also play as a shooting guard if needed. He is 1.91 m (6 ft 3 in) tall. He currently plays with the pro club Caja Laboral.

Pro career

Huertas began his career playing with the youth teams of Pinheiros in Brazil. He made his professional debut in 2002 with the senior team of Paulistano in the Brazilian League. He them moved to FMU São Paulo for the 2003-04 season. He them joined the Spanish League club DKV Joventut and stayed there from 2004-07.

Next, he moved to Bilbao Basket for the 2007-08 season. He played with Fortitudo Bologna in the Italian League during the 2008-09 season. In August 2009, he signed with the Spanish League club Caja Laboral.[1][2]
