Marcus Chown is an award-winning writer and broadcaster, currently cosmology consultant for New Scientist magazine. He graduated from the University of London in 1980, gaining a first class degree in physics, and later gained a Master of Science in astrophysics from the California Institute of Technology. His books on astronomy and physics are aimed primarily at the popular market.
