Martyrs' Day (India), is observed
on the 30th of January every year in India. It is on this day in
1948 that The Father of the Indian Nation, Mahatma Gandhi fell to an assassin's
bullet. India observes the day in memory of his martyrdom & of
all those who gave up their lives for their country.
Martyrs' Day (Iran), the Liberation of Khorramshahr
in 1982 is celebrated as Martyrs' Day in Iran on its anniversary, May 24.
Genocide Remembrance Day, also
known as Armenian Christian Martyr day, on April
24, commemorating Armenian genocide from 1915 to 1923 in Ottoman
Empire Turkey.
