Marvel Animation, LLC is an American animation production company. The Marvel Entertainment subsidiary was incorporated in January 2008 to create a better presence in animation and home entertainment markets. Marvel Entertainment has named Eric Rollman as President of the company. Marvel Animation incorporates current animation efforts with Lionsgate and Nickelodeon.[1][2]

Animated films

All animated films that have been released or announced have been produced by MLG Productions and have been released direct-to-video by Lionsgate. However, on December 31, 2009, The Walt Disney Company purchased Marvel Animation's parent company Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion.[3] Both Marvel and Disney have stated that the merger won't affect any preexisting deals with Lionsgate or other production companies for the time being,[4] although Disney said they will consider distributing future Marvel Animation projects with their own studios once the current deals expire.[5]
