Marvin "Snoop" Minnis (born February 6, 1977 in Miami, Florida) is a former professional American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played college football at Florida State.

Minnis also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins and Toronto Argonauts.

College career

He led Florida State in receptions during the 2000 season and was a finalist for the Fred Biletnikoff Award. He was the Offensive MVP for FSU in 2000. He currently is tied for the FSU record for the longest touchdown reception of 98 yards against the Clemson Tigers.

Minnis was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 2001 NFL Draft.

Nickname

Minnis was nicknamed Snoop by his Mom because as a kid he was always "snooping" around, getting into everything.

Retirement

Following his retirement in 2005, Minnis joined Lexus as a saleman in Lexus of North Miami and he was the Wide Receivers Coach at Everglades High School in Miramar.
