Marvin Philip (born February 3, 1982 in Redwood City, California) is an American football center who is currently a free agent in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at California.

Philip has also been a member of the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens and New Orleans Saints. He is currently listed on the injured reserve/waived list for the Buffalo Bills.[1]

Early years

He played high school football at Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, California.

College career

He played college football at the University of California, Berkeley, interrupting school for two years to serve as a mission in the Dakotas for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.[2] Despite the fact that he was an offensive lineman he got the offensive MVP for Berkeley in his senior year, which is rare for anyone on the line. He was also an All-American in 2004 & 2005.
