Mary Beth Ellis (January 15, 1977) is an American humorist writer and author of Drink to the Lasses, a memoir of her experiences at a women's college. Her work has appeared in Random House's Twentysomething Essays by Twentysomething Writers, on msnbc.com, in Air & Space, and elsewhere. She blogs at BlondeChampagne.com. Dish Pronto asked her to provide content for its television column, The Side Dish. The subjects of her writing range may from thoroughbred horse racing to NASA, but her writing is best known for its personal, observational essays marked with transitions from surprising insight to sharp humor.

A 1999 graduate of Saint Mary's College of Notre Dame, where she was the first SMC student to read at University of Notre Dame's Sophomore Literary Festival, she holds an MFA in nonfiction writing and literature from Bennington College.[1] She lives near Washington, D.C..
