Matthew Mackendree "Matt" Lanter (born April 1, 1983) is an American actor and model best known for his roles as Horace Calloway in the short-lived ABC political drama Commander in Chief and the voice role of Anakin Skywalker in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars and its television counterpart. Matt also recently joined the cast of 90210 as Liam Court, a recurring character in season one, before becoming a series regular from season two onwards.

Lanter was born in Massillon, Stark County, Ohio, the son of Joseph "Joe" Lanter and Jana Burson.[1] He moved to Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia in 1991 at age 8. He graduated from Collins Hill High School in 2001. He played baseball, football, basketball, gymnastics and golf and was a batboy for the Atlanta Braves. He attended University of Georgia, majoring in Sports Business but leaned towards an interest in the film and television industry created a strong desire to pursue acting instead.
Matt landed a role as a series regular on Commander in Chief in 2005, but the show was cancelled after only 18 episodes. The year after, he landed a role on Heroes and appeared in five episodes of the show's first season. For the next two years, Lanter had numerous one off appearances in numerous of TV shows, before making his voice acting debut in 2008. In 2008, Lanter played his first major role in the television movie The Cutting Edge 3 Chasing The Dream with co-star Francia Raisa. He voiced Anakin Skywalker in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars, a side story that is set between Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Lanter reprised his role as Anakin Skywalker in the 2009 television series that followed the movie, he is a series regular (voice only) on the show. He also is Anakin the shows two spin-off video games: Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels, Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Jedi Alliance and Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes.
Since 2009, he has been starring as Liam Court on the CW drama series 90210.
