Matthew Gillette Robinson (born June 28, 1955 in Farmington, Michigan) is a former professional American football player. He played quarterback for the University of Georgia and in the 1977 NFL Draft was selected by the N.Y. Jets in the ninth round. Robinson played in the National Football League from 1977-1982 for the New York Jets, the Denver Broncos, and the Buffalo Bills. He was also the starting quarterback for the Jacksonville Bulls and the Portland Breakers of the United States Football League during its final two years of existence.
