Club career

Boselli made his debut for Boca in a 7-2 defeat to Rosario Central on July 6, 2003. In 2005-2006 he spent a season with M√°laga B in Spain and returned to Boca in 2006.

Boselli struggled to become a regular in the first team. He was always behind Martín Palermo and Argentina World Cup player Rodrigo Palacio. In July 2008 Estudiantes de La Plata bought 50% of his transfer from Boca, allowing Boselli to move to La Plata. In Estudiantes, he started strongly with seven goals in his first 13 league games with the club.

In 2009 Boselli won the Copa Libertadores with Estudiantes. He played a key role in their campaign, scoring the winning goal against Cruzeiro Esporte Clube in Belo Horizonte, one of 8 goals in the tournament. He finished as the overall top-scorer in the competition.

Mauro Boselli scored 40 goals at Estudiantes de la Plata since June 2008. He hit 24 goals in the Primera División Argentina and a further 16 goals in international cups; 11 in Copa Libertadores de America, 4 in Copa Sudamericana and 1 in the FIFA Club World Cup.

International team

In 2005, Boselli was part of the Under-20 National team that finished third in the 2005 South American Under-20 Championship. By finishing third, the Argentine Under-20 classified for the Under-20 World Cup. On September 27, 2009 Boselli was called to the Argentine national team to replaced injured Esteban Fuertes for a friendly match against Ghana.[1]

He made his next appearance for Argentina on 26 January 2010as a 2nd half substitute in a 3-2 win in a friendly match against Costa Rica.
