Max Palevsky Residential Commons

The Max Palevsky Residential Commons is a University of Chicago undergraduate dormitory. It was designed by postmodern Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta. Built in 2001, the dorm is praised by some for its architecture, while others criticize its neon façade.

Students are assigned to one of three Max Palevesky buildings designated Max Palevesky East, Central, and West. Max Palevsky East, Central and West are connected by a common basement and have one central mailroom. All houses (in-dorm communities) are co-ed, except one, which has single-sex floors.[1]
